CORONE DI CARTA MADE IN AUSTRALIA

A chiunque piacerebbe adornarsi la testa con le corone di Stuart McLachlan. L'artista australiano crea a mano vere opere d'arte con la carta tra cui questi stupendi copricapo che raffigurano vari scenari ludici, dalla nave pirata al cavallo che cavalca onde selvagge. Uno dei suoi pezzi più incantevoli secondo noi è quello che raffigura una gabbia, con bellissimi fiori viola all'interno.

One of his most beautiful pieces in our opinion is the one that depicts a cage, with beautiful purple flowers inside.

SeesawSEAT è una panca in legno progettata dal designer Dirk Ploos Van Amstel che all'occorrenza può essere trasformata in una meravigliosa altalena per bambini.
La trasformazione avviene in maniera semplice, infatti basta piegare la panchina nella mezzeria, congiungere le gambe in modo da creare il pivot centrale e alzare le manigliette rosse sulle quali aggrapparsi...et voilà il gioco è fatto!

SeesawSEAT is a wooden bench, designed by Dirk Ploos Van Amstel. When necessary it can be transformed into a wonderful children's swing. The transformation is done in a simple way, in fact, you can just fold the bench into the middle part of it, fold its legs in order to create the center pivot and lift the red handles on which to hang ... et voila, you're done!

Stile, funzionalità e praticità si fondono anche in  MOEP un ibrido tra una culla e una sedia a dondolo in multistrato di betulla assemblato con sole 12 viti e due pezzi di corda.

MOEP  permette alla mamma di sedersi accanto al proprio bimbo e cullarlo dolcemente, poi quando il neonato cresce si trasforma e l'elemento laterale si diventerà in un pratico porta riviste.

CHI SEMINA VENTO...RACCOGLIE SCIARPE E MOBILI!

 

Oggi vi parliamo di un progetto stupefacente di design ecosostenibile. Perchè, non ci crederete, ma i bellissimi elementi d'arredo delle foto (perfetti per le camerette o per lo studio dei nostri bambini)sono realizzati INTERAMENTE grazie alla forza del vento.
Il progetto si chiama WINDWORKS ed è l'evoluzione di un progetto altrettanto innovativo, chiamato WIND KNITTING FACTORY. Dietro al progetto c'è Merel Karhof, designer olandese che vive tra i Paesi Bassi e la Gran Bretagna, che camminando per Londra, nel 2010, ha avuto la brillante idea di creare una macchina eolica per maglieria.Con la forza del vento questa macchina, posta all'esterno di un edificio londinese, si aziona e fila il tessuto che scende per essere ripreso all'interno dello stesso edificio attraverso la finestra posta al piano sottostante. Il materiale lavorato a maglia viene confezionato e venduto sotto forma di sciarpe, ciascuna con un'etichetta che riporta il tempo di lavorazione.

Today we are featuring an amazing project of sustainable design. Believe it or not, the pieces of furniture in the pictures (woudn't they fit perfectly in our kids's rooms) are made ​​ENTIRELY due to the strength of the wind.
The project is called WINDWORKS and is the evolution of another innovative project , called WIND KNITTING FACTORY. Behind the project there is Merel Karhof, a young Dutch designer who lives between the Netherlands and Great Britain, who  in 2010, had the brilliant idea of ​​creating a wind knitting machine. She placed it outside a building in South Kensigton in London. With the power of the wind, a knitting machine knits from the outside towards the inside of a building. The knitted material ua rounded-off in individually packaged scarves. Each scarf has its own label in which tells you how much time it Has Been knitted and on which dates.

Poi la Merel ha pensato di utilizzare i tessuti prodotti grazie all'energia eolica per rivestire sedie, sgabelli e panchine. Si è recata in Olanda nella zona dei mulini a vento, la Zaanse Schans e ha messo insieme il lavoro di tre mulini per dare vita ad una serie di complementi d'arredo. Il processo di falegnameria, di tintura e di tessitura dei filati sono frutto di macchine eoliche.

Abbiamo trovato molto divertenti e originali queste tende da campeggio e ci sembrava carino condividerle con voi... Forse perchè la voglia di estate e soprattutto di ferie è davvero tanta, e il campeggio è uno dei luoghi più amato dai bambini.

A-Frames sono bellissime mensole create da CHIAOZZA un piccolo studio di design con sede a Brooklyn, NY fondato nel 2012 da Terri Chiao e Adam Frezza.

Triangoli, parallelogrammi, quadrati e cerchi colorati donano alla parete luminosità e allegria. Sono tagliate a mano e assemblate insieme senza colla, tramite semplici giunti di sovrapposizione in legno.

Colored triangles, parallelograms, square and other forms give playfulness to the walls. All the pieces are hand made using simple wooden lap joints and no glue.

UNA PACIFICA TRINCEA: GUERRILLA!

Stone Designs è la storia di Cutu Mazuelos ed Eva Prego, due ragazzi di Madrid (Spagna), che nel 1995 hanno creato il loro studio, per sviluppare i loro originali progetti.

A noi è piaciuto molto il loro GUERRILLA. Il nome è minaccioso, ma è ingannevole. I contenitori di Guerrilla rappresentano infatti un sogno, una revisione accogliente e tranquilla di una componente militare. I suoi "sacchi" si possono usare come divisori, come posti a sedere informali oppure semplicemente come contenitori. Potete facilmente creare una trincea, perchè montarli e smontarli è alla portata di tutti...anche del vostro bambino!Il rivestimento è 85% in cotone e in 15% poliestere.

Stone Designs is the story of  Cutu Mazuelos and Eva Prego who in 1995 created their own studio, in order to develop their projects. We really liked their GUERRILLA, whose name could sound scary, but is not! Guerrilla containers represent a dream; a friendly and peaceful use for a object of war. They can serve as room dividers, as informal seating, and as containers. And you can easily play around with them to assemble and disassemble the trench as you want, even your kid will find it easy! Composition: 85% cotton, 15% polyester.

VISTO AL SALONE DEL MOBILE: MECEDORAMA

Continua il nostro viaggio alla scoperta di nuove e interessanti proposte nel mondo del design che abbiamo incontrato durante la Fiera del Mobile di Milano;oggi vogliamo parlarvi di MECEDORAMA una giovane azienda spagnola che produce bellissime sedie a dondolo per grandi e piccini, che tanto ci ricordano la nostra infanzia, essendo in stile un po' retro.
Ci ha particolarmente colpito che tutti i prodotti sono saldati intrecciati e verniciati a mano e personalizzabili in base alle richieste dell'utente.
