TOVAGLIA BY PANI JUREK

Come è possibile insegnare ai bambini la storia del design e renderli sensibili ad uno spazio ben progettato? La risposta può essere trovata in uno dei prodotti dell'azienda polacca Pani Jurek, fondata dalla designer e artista Magda Jurek.
Magda ha selezionato i suoi oggetti preferiti della storia del design moderno, ha ricamato le loro forme su una tovaglia e "organizzato" lo spazio sotto ad un tavolo. Ora, il bambino avrà il proprio spazio privato, organizzato con una Eames storage unit , l'orologio di George Nelson, l'appendiabiti di Thorsten van Elten, lo Shuffle Table di Mia Hamborg etc. Ci sono anche icone del design polacco tra i quali: una credenza popolare tradizionale e un "Fawn" - sgabello per bambini con sembianze di un cerbiatto creato da Olgierd Szlekys e Wladyslaw Wincze.La tovaglia è concepita per adulti e per bambini e può essere usata per eventi familiari, per offrire ai bambini uno spazio a loro riservato e per far loro creare questo spazio . La tovaglia è ricamata dentro e fuori e i bambini possono vedere le forme dei mobili mentre gli adulti ne apprezzeranno l'artigianalità.

How is it possible to teach children the history of design and make them sensitive to well designed space? The answer can be found in a new product by Pani Jurek, founded by the designer and artist Magda Jurek. . She selected her favourite items from the history of modern design, embroidered their shapes on the tablecloth and „arranged" the interior under the table. Now, the child has its own private space, arranged with an Eames storage unit, George Nelson clock, Thorsten van Elten antler coat rack and Shuffle Table by Mia Hamborg. There are also Polish icons of design among them: a traditional folk cupboard and a „Fawn" – children's stool designed by Olgierd Szlekys and Wladyslaw Wincze.
Multifunctional and whimsical is a part of Pani Jurek brand's character. The tablecloth is designed for adults as well as for children. It's purposed in family events, to give children a private area and to let them create the space. The tablecloth is embroidered inside out and the children can see the shapes of the furniture when the adults can experience effects of handicraft.
Products signed as „Designer Mama by Pani Jurek" are dedicated to the children and to mums as well.

Un unico profilo tubolare di acciaio è posto a formare la base della sedia a dondolo della giovane designer tedesca Svenja Diekmann. La seduta tessuta a maglia, recuperata da resti e rifiuti di grandi fabbriche di marchi di moda. Viene prodotta in vari colori e in due misure.

The rocking stool by Svenja Diekmann comes with an elegant and simple shape, created out of one line metal wire. The upholstery is made by a knitted recycled cotton jersey from a company which collects left over material from factories and fashion lables. Two sizes and a wide range of colours are available.
