It is a small book which totally captured my eyes thanks to its colours (orange and blue on a white background) and its minimal and unique style. But there’s more to this book than meets the eye: It will surely open imagination in kids, as it shows how daily things can be seen in different ways by children. So a cup can turn into a mushroom,  an orange into a planet and so on..Du matin au soir, from the morning until the evening,  a poetic book that will capture the hearts of young and old alike.

ED CHEVERTON

We stumbled across the brilliant  children’s book ‘Meet the Circus’ by Ed Chevervton.
In this creative and playful book, illustrator Ed Cheverton invites readers to meet a troupe of circus performers who create sculptures from found objects and shapes. Using simple materials from around the home as well as their imaginations, this entertaining troupe reveal how much fun can be had bringing works of art to life.

Ulisse è un particolare eroe che ci indicherà la strada per Itaca.
Si tratta di un giocattolo in legno e carta riciclata adatto a bambini e adulti. Prima di tutto si dovranno assemblare i pezzi, dopodichè sarete in grado di manipolarlo e di generare centinaia di diverse posture.
E' stato progettato dal talentuoso illustratore spagnolo Marc Sardà, di Barcellona, per Londji.

Ulysses is a particular hero who will show us the way to Itaca.

This is a puppet made of wood and recycled paper for kids and adults. First of all you’ll have to assemble the pieces, then you’ll be able to manipulate it and generate hundreds of different postures.

It has been designed by the talented Spanish illustrator Marc Sardà,  from Barcelona, for Londji.

Seremini è un progetto di Serena, è  un seme, una cosa piccola ma importante come l’origine di tutte le cose. E' un ritratto, il fermo immagine dell’attimo in cui la meraviglia è tutto quello che ci circonda. Dove le cose azzurre non si mangiano, il cielo è molle, prendo una nuvola e vado a Barcellona, io sto dalla parte dei pistilli, meno male che non sono nato a Parigi perché non conosco una parola di francese, non ho bisogno che sia facile, ho bisogno che ne valga la pena.

Seremini is a seed, it is something small but important as the origin of all things.
It is a portrait, a still image of the moment when the wonder is all around us. It is the place where light blue things are not meant to be eaten, where the sky is soft, where you can take a cloud and go to Barcelona, where you can be on the side of pistils, where you feel lucky not to be French as you don't know a word of French, where you do not need it to be easy, you just  need that it's worth it.
