SALVAPECUNIA BY ARAGO DESIGN

ARAGO DESIGN is the brand which identifies the objects designed and produced by Elisabetta Di Bucchianico e Dario Oggiano, at L'Officina delle Invenzioni (The workshop of Inventions), in Pescara, Italy. ARAGO DESIGN is the joint label of two designers who use to ask themselves many questions, feeling they have great responsabilities.
The natural consequence is a catalogue of objects endowed with multiple personality.
SalvaPecunia is a piggy bank made of glazed clay and cork.
Pecunia, which means money in Italian comes from the Latin pecus, sheep.
SalvaPecunia by Arago Design, shows the gentle animal protagonist of a thousand stories, the richness of which the sheep is historically bearer. Reborn as a piggy bank but with cultural references, it enhances its symbolic value, until it turns into a coherent symbol of positivity.

ESNAF - BREMENTOWN MUSICIANS

Conoscete sicuramente ESNAF (ve ne abbiamo già parlato qui), ma vi rinfreschiamo la memoria. Si tratta di una linea di giocattoli in legno interamente realizzati a mano e disegnati dallo studio di architettura Archabits. I  materiali utilizzati sono naturali ( faggio e noce americano) e non sono verniciati. 
Oggi vi mostriamo 'Brementown Musicians' , il loro secondo progetto, basato sulla favola dei famosi Fratelli Grimm.

You surely know ESNAF (we wrote about them here) but we would be happy to remind you about them: ESNAF is the new product-line of entirely handmade wooden toys designed and made by architecture studio Archabits. They are crafted with natural materials beech and american walnut and are not varnished or painted.
'Brementown musicians' is the second set of the product-line. It is based on the famous Brothers' Grim fairytale.

Una collezione di mobili pensata per la famiglia contemporanea per cui la ricerca di uno spazio interiore e di un ambiente domestico adatto alla vita in comune sono valori e ingredienti fondanti per una “well balanced life”.

SARMIENTO: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

SARMIENTO: stiamo parlando di Maria Teresa Sarmiento, architetto e Julia Alejandra Sarmiento, giornalista.Sin da bambine Maria Teresa e Julia Alejandra hanno avuto uno stretto legame con il legno. Il loro nonno era l'architetto del Cantiere Sarmiento, ampiamente noto nell'ambiente della marina per le barche a vela realizzate a mano. Sono cresciute giocando sulle barche.L'idea di SARMIENTO nasce da due concetti:1) dalla continua ricerca di due mamme lavoratrici di giochi interessanti progettati per i bambini.2) dalla necessità di riutilizzare gli scarti di produzione del Brand NET (produttore di mobili di design che amano e conoscono da molto tempo). Net è un'azienda di design che crea mobili, che realizza architettura locale e si rivolge anche all'estero, esportando in America, Uruguay, Giappone, Cile.
Net è alla costante ricerca di ottimizzazione delle risorse e delle materie prime utilizzate. Sarmiento, in linea con la loro filosofia ha quindi pensato ad una collaborazione con loro.
Net utilizza materie prime di alta qualità ed esporta latifoglie come Lapacho, petiribí, pino del Brasile, paraiso etc, che forniscono diverse textures, diversi colori, pesi, etc, tutti molto interessanti al tatto e alla vista.
I prodotti di Sarmiento non sono mai gli stessi, perché dipendono dalla produzione in corso di Net.Si tratta di un processo creativo continuo: vedere lo spreco e trasformarlo in un prodotto ludico, sostenibile e divertente. Il risultato è sorprendente.Il motto di Sarmiento sono le 3 R: RIDURRE, RIUTILIZZARE, RICICLARE.beh...NOI LI AMIAMO, E VOI???

SARMIENTO: we are talking about Maria Teresa Sarmiento, architect and Julia Alejandra Sarmiento, journalist.
Since kids, they had much relation with wood as material. Their grandfather was the architect of Shipyard Sarmiento, widely well known in the marine environment for their sailboats handmade plywood. They grew up playing on  boats.
The idea of Sarmiento arises from two ideas:
1)    They are two  working moms who are always looking for interesting designed toys for children.
2)    The need to reuse the production waste Net furnitures (Brand that they love and know from long time). Net is a design house that creates furniture, local architecture and abroad, exporting to America, Uruguay, Japan, Chile. 
The Net production result from the realization of a thought. In the constant search to optimize resources and raw materials. So they made an aliance with them.
They have high quality raw materials and export hardwoods like Lapacho, Petiribí, Pine Brazil, Paraiso among others, that  provide us different extures, colors, weights, very interesting to the touch and sight.
The Sarmiento products are never the same, because they depend on production being carried out in Net.
It is a constant creative process: see the waste and transform it into a playful, sustainable and fun product. The result is unlimited.
Sarmientos base work are the 3 R: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

Archifold is a series of origami sheet of paper, the motives are based on the framework used by architects to create plans. A diagram is included in the envelope to give the possibility of making a little house, but it’s only one of the many possibilities offered by this set. Simple and complex, all origami models can be made with Archifold. Be creative, be an architect!

25X8

"Appendi il berretto, scrivi il tuo nome, disegna una freccia, fai un'addizione.
Attacca, stacca, sposta, conta, crea.
Arreda giocando, gioca arredando"

Oggi vi parliamo del gioco/complemento d'arredo "25X8" che si chiama così proprio perchè ha 200 buchi, 25 orizzontali o 8 verticali (in base al punto di osservazione).
"25x8" può essere definito come la rivisitazione del gioco storico della Quercetti dei chiodini con qualche valore aggiunto:
1) I  materiali utilizzati sono tutti naturali e le vernici sono atossiche
2)il pezzo colorato, con cui giocare, è abbstanza grande e difficilmente ingoiabile da un bambino
3) è modulare ed ampliabile e mutabile in un appendiabiti. Infatti tutte le piastre sono dotate di fori ai lati per essere modulari e hanno due buchi davanti per essere utilizzati con delle viti da appendere a muro.
4) All'interno della confezione sono forniti anche 60 chiodini (15 per ogni colore - 4 colori in totale) di cui 8 con calamita incorporata. Questo permette, grazie alla piastra integrata all'interno del legno, di non far cadere i pezzi una volta che lo si sta utilizzando come appendino a muro.

Today we would like to feature the game / piece of furniture "25x8" which is so called because its has 200 holes, 25 horizontal and 8 vertical (it depends where your look at it from).
"25x8" can be seen as the review of the historical game of Quercetti with some added value:
1) The materials used are all natural and the paints are non-toxic
2) the colored piece, to play with, are quite big and not swallowable by a child
3) it is modular and expandable and can be used as an coat peg too. In fact, all the pegboards are made with holes in their sides in order to be modular and have two holes in the front side to be used with screws to hang it on the wall.
4) Inside the box there will be 60 pegs (15 for each color - 4 colors in total) including 8 pegs with built-in magnet, very useful when you use the pegboards as a coat peg.
