DA COSA NASCE COSA

Di sicuro avete sentito parlare del sito Ikea Hackers: oggetti Ikea vengono rivisitati e trasformati in qualcosa di diverso dalla loro funzione primaria.

Samuel N. Bernier e Andreas Bhend, due giovani designers, hanno deciso di collaborare ad un progetto di IKEA hacking e hanno dato nuova vita allo sgabello FROSTA di Ikea, (€ 9,90 cad.) creando un ingegnoso velocipede (un draisienne in francese) con l'aiuto di alcune parti stampate in 3d.
Andreas è uno studente mentre Samuel N. Bernier lavora a tempo pieno per le FabShop, che realizza stampe 3D a Parigi (Francia). Pur non conoscendosi, hanno collaborato mossi dal desiderio di realizzare questo progetto. Andreas ha preso così un treno per Parigi, dove ha trascorso due giorni e mezzo in compagnia di Samuel e realizzando questo velocipede in legno.
C'è stato un dibattito su quale colore scegliere per le parti stampate. Il giallo non aveva abbastanza contrasto e il blu lo trovavano un po' noioso, hanno quindi infine scelto l'arancione.

You have heard of the site Ikea Hackers for sure: Ikea items are revisited and transformed into something different from their primary function.

Samuel N. Bernier and Andreas Bhend, two young designers, decided to collaborate on a project of IKEA hacking and have given new life to the stool FROSTA Ikea (€ 9.90 each) by creating an ingenious bycicle (a draisienne in French) with the aid to some 3d printed parts.

Andreas is a student while Samuel N. Bernier works full-time for Le FabShop, which makes 3D prints in Paris (France). Despite the fact they were not knowing each other, they decided to work togetherr in order to accomplish this project. Andreas took a train to Paris, where he spent two and a half days with Samuel and they realized this wood bycicle.

There was a debate about what colour to choose for the printed parts. Since yellow didn’t have enough contrast and blue was a little bit boring, they chose orange.
