La produzione di TruckToco è basata sul riciclaggio e sulla lavorazione dei materiali che la compongono, che porta a un processo che si traduce in pezzi durevoli, unici e sostenibili dal punto di vista ambientale.
Tutto il materiale utilizzato è riciclato. Trattasi di legno di alta qualità come il cedro, il noce brasiliano e peroba proveniente da tetti, pavimenti, armadi, porte, ecc che vengono selezionati sui marciapiedi della città, nelle discariche o dai rifiuti da costruzione.
Questo materiale viene poi conservato, migliorato e trasformato in pezzi di design per interni, in mobili e in oggetti.
Dietro a questo progetto c'è il designer brasiliano Marcelo Zocchio, che vive e lavora a Sao Paolo.

The production of  TruckToco, is based on the recycling and manufacturing of the material, leading to a process that results in pieces which are durable, unique and sustainable concerning the environment.
All the material used is recycled. High quality wood such as cedar, brazilian walnut and peroba from roofs, floors, closets, footers, doors, etc are selected on the sidewalks of the city, in rubble dumps or in construction waste.
This material is then stored, improved and transformed into pieces for interior design, furniture and objects.
The designer is Marcelo Zocchio, a Brasilian designer living and working is Sao Paolo.

PINGUINI IMPERIALI

Oggi vi mostriamo un progetto dello studio Yang Ripol.
Questa serie comprende dieci Pinguini Imperiali che possono essere organizzati in cerchio e sparire, oppure che possono essere impilati uno sull'altro in un gioco di equilibrio.
Il gioco fa un riferimento all'abitudine dei pinguini imperiali di ritrarsi in cerchio per scaldarsi e per proteggere i propri cuccioli durante i freddi inverni artici.
C'è anche un chiaro riferimento al "Reifendrehen", ovvero una produzione di giochi con particolari tecniche di lavorazione del legno al tornio, sviluppata nei Monti Metalliferi in Sassonia. 

Questo progetto in legno è stato realizzato per la collezione di giocattoli natalizi di Muji, il famoso "no brand" nipponico.

Today we would love to show you a wooden toy by Yang Ripol Studio.
This series includes ten penguins which can be arranged in a circle and disappear, or that can be stacked one on each other in a game of balance.
The theme refers to the habit of the Penguins to huddle in circles in order to keep warm and to protect their young during the cold Arctic winters.
There is also a clear reference to the "Reifendrehen", a game production with particular techniques of woodworking lathe, developed in the Ore Mountains in Saxony.
This project has been realized in wood for the collection of Christmas toys of Muji, the famous Japanese "no brand".

They fit perfectly in a nursery, as you know, Kids are  big animal lovers!

ANIMALI LUMINOSI (OVVERO EX BOTTIGLIE)

 

Guardate queste sei bottiglie uniche che erano, in realtà, sei personaggi in attesa di nascere. Pix, Porky, Gerry, Flo, Humf e Ellie spmp le stelle di questa piccola storia.
Nishi Chauhan, la loro creatrice, è nata a New Delhi, in India, e vi ha  vissuto la maggior parte della sua vita prima di trasferirsi nella città artistica e culturale di Lucknow per studiare Architettura. La sua formazione in Architettura e successivamente in Design Industriale, ha infuso in lei l'amore per la forma e la scultura. Gran parte del suo lavoro è ispirato dai materiali, dai colori e dalle texture che ha visto intorno a lei.
La designer ama i lavori manuali e preferisce un approccio concreto al design e all'artigianato ed è felice di collaborare con persone interessanti e di contribuire al ricco artigianato dell'India. Quando non si occupa di progettare nuovi articoli, Nishi divide il suo tempo tra la fotografia analogica e l'illustrazione.
Attualmente vive e lavora a Bangalore, in India.

Have a look at these s ix unique bottles that were six characters waiting to be born. Meet Peeves, Porky, Gerry, Flo, Humf and Ellie, the stars of this little story.
Nishi Chauhan was born in New Delhi, India, and lived most of her life in and around the city before moving to the artistic and cultural city of Lucknow to study Architecture. Her education in Architecture, and later in Industrial Design, infused in her a love for form and sculpture. Much of her work is inspired by the materials, colours and textures she sees around her, and has grown up with.
She is happiest when working with her hands, and prefers a more tangible approach to design and craftsmanship. She enjoys collaborating with interesting people and working with the rich crafts of India. When not designing products, Nishi splits her time between analog photography and illustration.
She currently lives and works in Bangalore, India.
