CRITICAL BLOCKS

Interessante il progetto di laurea di Maykel Roovers, che ha creato una centrale nucleare in miniatura costituita da più pezzi di legno agganciati insieme (il processo di lavorazione include taglio a laser e stampa 3d), per sensibilizzare i bambini e soprattutto i genitori sull'importantissimo problema del nucleare nel mondo.
Roovers osservó che i bambini ignoravano completamente l'aspetto politico e sociale del nucleare, quasi come non sapessero neppure dell'esistenza delle centrali nucleari stesse...proprio da queste considerazioni gli venne in mente di creare "Critical Blocks".

We have found it really interesting Maykel Roovers's final exam project "Critical Blocks"; it's a toy model of nuclear power plants. The process involves the use of  laser cutting and 3D printing in order to create a model able to show parents and kids the current state of the excessive use of large scale architecture in the production of goods.
Roovers discovered that children weren't aware didn’t know anything about the political and societal aspectof these buildings.For kids, the blocks are just blocks. 

Per ora è soltanto un progetto ma Roovers sta realmente prendendo in considerazione la possibilità di metterlo in commercio.
