Perfetti anche nella camera dei bambini, che si sa, sono grandi amanti degli animali!

Today we are featuring Sending Animals, a series of storage units which have been designed by the Italian designer Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba and that are distributed by Seletti.
They fit perfectly in a nursery, as you know, Kids are  big animal lovers!

ANIMALI LUMINOSI (OVVERO EX BOTTIGLIE)

 

Guardate queste sei bottiglie uniche che erano, in realtà, sei personaggi in attesa di nascere. Pix, Porky, Gerry, Flo, Humf e Ellie spmp le stelle di questa piccola storia.
Nishi Chauhan, la loro creatrice, è nata a New Delhi, in India, e vi ha  vissuto la maggior parte della sua vita prima di trasferirsi nella città artistica e culturale di Lucknow per studiare Architettura. La sua formazione in Architettura e successivamente in Design Industriale, ha infuso in lei l'amore per la forma e la scultura. Gran parte del suo lavoro è ispirato dai materiali, dai colori e dalle texture che ha visto intorno a lei.
La designer ama i lavori manuali e preferisce un approccio concreto al design e all'artigianato ed è felice di collaborare con persone interessanti e di contribuire al ricco artigianato dell'India. Quando non si occupa di progettare nuovi articoli, Nishi divide il suo tempo tra la fotografia analogica e l'illustrazione.
Attualmente vive e lavora a Bangalore, in India.

Nishi Chauhan was born in New Delhi, India, and lived most of her life in and around the city before moving to the artistic and cultural city of Lucknow to study Architecture. Her education in Architecture, and later in Industrial Design, infused in her a love for form and sculpture. Much of her work is inspired by the materials, colours and textures she sees around her, and has grown up with.
She is happiest when working with her hands, and prefers a more tangible approach to design and craftsmanship. She enjoys collaborating with interesting people and working with the rich crafts of India. When not designing products, Nishi splits her time between analog photography and illustration.
She currently lives and works in Bangalore, India.

PLAY

PLAY mette in mostra 10 progetti realizzati da dagli studenti dell'Università Nazionale di Singapore, facoltà di Disegno Industriale. Nel corso di 11 settimane, gli studenti hanno esplorato l'atto del gioco e l'hanno proposto in una serie di contesti diversi.
PLAY è uno studio di design guidato da Clement Zheng e Studio Juju. Lo studio adotta principalmente un approccio "hands-on" nella sua indagine, e vuole esprimere l'essenza del gioco attraverso prototipi e narrazione.

PLAY showcases 10 projects by the students from the National University of Singapore, Division of Industrial Design. Over a course of 11 weeks, the students explored the act of play and meaningfully introduced play into a series of various contexts. Each project, not mere toys, is an investigation into designs that bring out refreshing play experiences.
PLAY is a design studio that was led by Clement Zheng and Studio Juju. The studio primarily adopts a hands-on approach in its investigation, setting out to express the essence of play through prototypes and story telling.

MOOK

Oggi vi presentiamo Mook, che nasce da un progetto di Carlo Nannetti e Francesca Crisafulli, romani ed entrambi insegnanti presso l’Istituto Europeo di Design.

La loro attività artistica spazia dalla scultura alla grafica d’arte, dall’illustrazione al design, fino alla realizzazione di laboratori per bambini sull’arte e il riciclaggio.
Mook crea e produce oggetti con materiali  di recupero, pezzi unici che nascono dalla raccolta e dall’assemblaggio di materiale “scaricato dal tempo”.
Legni consumati dal mare, oggetti  dimenticati dalla città, pezzi di vecchie porte o mobili e stoffe e parti metalliche di meccanismi che nessuno usava più, vengono ricomposti secondo le regole del riciclaggio artistico fino a realizzare sculture e oggetti d’uso.

Mook is a project started by Carlo Nannetti and Francesca Crisafulli, who both live and work in Rome where they teach at the European Design Institute.

Their artistic activities range from sculpture, graphic art, illustration and design, right through to the creation of workshops for children on art and the art of recycling. 
Mook creates and manufactures objects using recycled materials, unique pieces that stem from the collection and the assembly of materials that have been “jettisoned by time”.
Sea worn debris, objects forgotten by cities, parts of old doors and furniture, and metallic elements of mechanisms that no one wanted anymore, are reassembled according to the rules of artistic recycling until they become sculptures or fully function objects once more.
