TUTTO IN UNO!

Un sedia, una tavolino, una lampada: tutto questo è Little Triple Chair di Frederik Roijé, giovane e promettente designer Olandese, che ha creato questo oggetto multifunzionale per bambini da 2 a 6 anni, come estensione della sua già nota collezione per adulti Triple Objects. La struttura è in legno, ma può essere ricoperta da una speciale fibra in poliammide che la rende morbida al tatto (trattasi del materiale usato solitamente sul retro dei puzzle). Uno spazio che incita i nostri bambini, sempre più attratti dagli oggetti tecnologici quali i tablet, gli smartphones, i videogiochi, alle attività base queli la lettura, il disegno, il gioco, la scrittura. 
È stato progettato per essere collocato in spazi pubblici quali asili e biblioteche, ma a nostro avviso starebbe benissimo anche nella cameretta dei nostri bambini. Costo: a partire da 499 €, lo potete acquistare on-line.

Young Dutch designer Frederik Roijé has created a piece of forniture conceived for children aged 2 to 6, called Little Triple Chair which combines a chair, a table and a lamp in one single structure.It extends on his famous Triple Objects collection for adults.

This piece of furniture was designed with the aim to encourage the basic creative activities of reading, drawing, playing and writing among the children, who are nowadays more inclined towards the technological things such a tablets, smartphones, videogames etc. Primarily intended for use in public spaces such as libraries and kindergarden, we think it could fit perfectly in our kids' room too.Price: from 499 € (=644 USD and 623 AUD), you can buy it on-line. 
  

Sempre del designer olandese è la seduta Family Furniture, che ha vinto l'Elle Decoration Design Talent Award durante l'Inside Design di Amsterdam. Il magazine olandese si è rivolto all'esperienza di Cappellini nell'organizzare il costest. Una seduta ispirata ai forti legami familiari, da collocare nei luoghi in cui le famiglie si riuniscono. The Dutch Designer also created Family Furniture, which won the Elle Decoration Design Talent Award during the Inside Design held in Amsterdam. POPSICLES

Il talento di Putput, studio di design danese, è quello di trasformare oggetti comuni in  piccole opere d'arte. Lo dimostrano queste spugne gelato (la serie si chiama Popsicles, come la marca più antica di ghiaccioli) realistiche e dall'aspetto invitante! :) gnam gnam! Da provare!

Putput, a Danish creative design  has been able to turn an everyday object into a work of art with the series ‘Popsicles’. Traditional dish sponges were transformed into delicious popsicle look-a-likes! Gnam Gnam! We should try to do the same at home!

NUOVA VITA ALLA TUA VECCHIA BARBIE!

Un po' come Giuseppe Arcinboldo faceva con frutta e verdura, l'artista Australiana Freya Jobbins recupera bambole di plastica destinate alle discariche ed utilizza parti dei loro corpi come base per creare una serie di originalissime sculture.

Inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo and his fruit and vegetable paintings, Freya Jobbins  creates her original and detailed assemblage by using a very NON traditional sculptural material - plastic doll parts and toys. She utilizes miscellaneous pieces of dolls and toys to create remarkable humanoid assemblages of faces, heads  and larger busts. Each piece of plastic is painstakingly carved, glued layer over layer, creating depth to each unique assemblage.

CON GLI ANIMALI VERSO L'ANESTESIA

Il Jason Bruges Studio ha completato un progetto unico nel suo genere per il "Great Ormond Street Hospital" di Londra (UK).

Il progetto, denominato "Sentiero Natura", consiste in una carta da parati applicata ai corridoi del Morgan Stanley Clinical Building con motivi che ricordano una foresta, e da pannelli LED integrati nelle pareti ad altezze diverse in modo da essere facilmente accessibili ai piccoli pazienti. Attraverso queste superfici digitali vengono riprodotte con luci intemittenti animali in movimento, quali cavalli, cervi, ricci, uccelli e rane. L'opera dispone di 70 pannelli a LED, per un totale di 72.000 luci LED.

L'intento era quello di progettare e installare un opera d'arte che potesse "distrarre" i piccoli pazienti, contribuendo alla creazione un percorso rilassante ma coinvolgente culminante con l'arrivo del paziente nella stanza dove gli verrà effettuata l'anestesia pre-operatoria.

Jason Bruges Studio has completed a unique project for Great Ormond Street Hospital (London, UK) for children.
The project, called "Nature Trail", covers hallway walls in the Morgan Stanley Clinical Building. integrated LED panels and bespoke graphic wallpaper. The LED panels are embedded into the wall surface at various heights in order to be accessible to the eye levels and positions of patients travelling along the corridors. Across these digital surfaces abstracted ‘animal movements’ are recreated as interactive animated patterns of light which reveal themselves through the trees & foliage of the forest. The artwork consists of 70 LED panels, with a total of 72,000 LED’s.
The brief was to design and install a distraction artwork helping to create a calming yet engaging route that culminates in the patient’s arrival at the anaesthetic room. More pictures and an interesting video can be found here.

Geniali le tazze create dalla designer francese Geraldine De Beco, per Bernardaud.
Quando vuote sembrano strani oggetti dalla forma astratta, ma se riempite con un liquido, ecco che magicamente appaiono sul fondo le sagome di un gatto, di un lupo o di un uccello.
Le consigliamo alle mamme di bambini mooooolto responsabili perchè un tazza costa la bellezza di 258 €! :)

Look at these fantastic bowls designed by Geraldine De Beco for Bernardaud. When they are empty, they simply look like bowls with a strange design. But once you fill the vessel with a liquid, they reveal the surprise, whether it be a wolf cat, wolf or a bird. Aren't they cool? Just make sure that your child is veeeery responsible, as they cost 258,00 € /each(approx. 335 USD and 327 AUD). :)

Beautiful and functional, this drawers shows your kids where to put back their own clothes.
We are talking about  the "Training Dresser" by Peter Bristol, designer of Seattle. The dresser is hand crafted and packaged with care in Eastern Washington by the crew Mountain View Cabinetry and it comes in one design for girls (with skirts and tanks), one for boys (with shorts and t-shirts).
You can buy it for 1500 $, you just have to write an e-mail to the designer.
