La designer austriaca Margot Stummer si è laureata nel 2013 alla Kingston University (Londra) - (MA Product and Space degree course) .
Margot è convinta che il design debba essere funzionale ma anche bello dal punto di vista estetico. La semplicità, la purezza, il divertimento e le emozioni sono alla base del suo design.
Il suo ultimo progetto, Cocoony, esplora la giocosità e la curiosità dei bambini e i loro bisogni emozionali in termini di sicurezza. La designer ha osservato i tremendi capricci dei bambini e le loro tranquille pause per comprendere le loro esigenze dei bambini.
Ispirata dalla natura ha creato una sorta di bozzolo, che può essere trasformato in un tappeto di gioco piatto sul quale i bambini possono correre liberamente, ad un baccello tridimensionale per i momenti di riposo.

Her last project, Cocoony explores the playfulness and the curiosity of young children and their emotional needs in terms of security and safe havens. The designer observed children’s terrible tantrums and peaceful pauses to understand children’s needs.
Inspired by nature and other influences she created a vibrant cocoon, which can be transformed from a flat play mat where children can run free, to a three-dimensional pod for some much needed rest and refuelling time.
